Paternoster is located on the West coast of South Africa, a short one and a half hour’s drive from Cape Town. It’s a fisherman’s town. The local building style – bleached white houses, is unique to this region. Paternoster has stunning beaches. The beaches are quiet and clean. The people are friendly and welcoming. We also have a liquor shop catering to all your alcohol needs. The rest of the town is filled with shops selling everything from art supplies, beads, paintings and clothing.

  • Yes. The streets are perfectly safe to go for a walk or visit a secluded beach. We do have petty crime, so be sensible and don’t leave your stuff lying around or leaving doors open whilst you are not there.

  • Paternoster has many restaurants. You will find the best seafood and Sushi of your life. My favourite place to dine is De Seekat – best seafood, best Sushi, best everything. The town is also the home of the world famous Wolfgat which was voted the best restaurant in the world. You will need to book well in advance, especially during peak holiday seasons.
